セットデザイナー / 石原 敬
1990年に渡米。1994年New York School of Visual ArtsのFine Arts学科を経て、Illustration/Commercial Arts学科を卒業。コマーシャルデザイナーとしての活動と並行して、2008年よりセットデザイナーとしての活動を開始。主に舞台（演劇・ミュージカル・ダンスなど）のデザインを手掛けていたが、ジャンルを問わない作風が評価され、インスタレーション/コンサート/ファッションショー/エキシビションなど、活動の場を広げている。1999年にAmerican Illustration広告部門特別賞、2011年度伊藤熹朔賞新人賞を受賞。
K ISHIHARA has a diverse portfolio of work as a scenic designer from the mainstream theater plays, musicals and dance performances to installations, concerts, fashion shows and exhibitions. His flexible and `non-fixation to a certain style/genre’ approach to designing has garnered high acclaim.He studied Fine Arts and Illustration/Commercial Arts at New York School of Visual Arts in the USA. Upon graduation in 1998, he worked as a commercial designer where he won New York Art Director’s Club Silver Medal (Society of Illustrator Competition 1999).After returning to Japan, he began his career as a scenic designer and won Kisaku Ito Award for the Best Designer in 2011.
Performance Designer / SAYAKO MAKINO
パフォーマンスデザイナー / 牧野 紗也子
2008年に渡英、セントラル・セント・マーチンズでパフォーマンスのデザインと実践を学び、2013年に帰国。大道具会社C-COMに勤務していた時にセットデザイナー 石原敬と出会い、美術/芸術面でのカテゴリーにとらわれない価値観に共感、2017年より共に仕事を始める。これまで主にセットデザイナーとして国内外の演出家/振付師/ダンサーと作品を製作。素材の使い方や効果、物体のパフォーマンス性に興味を持ち、それをコンセプトと結びつけるデザインに力を入れている。
Sayako Makino graduated Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design in 2013, where she trained in Performance design and practice, theory and application. She has collaborated with international directors/choreographers/dancers as a designer. She met K Ishihara when she worked for C-COM Stage Settings, found common interests in arts and started working together in 2017. She is currently experimenting with use of materials and effects, and the performative qualities of objects.
Architectural Designer / SANAE MIZUSHIMA
建築系デザイナー / 水島 左苗
1989年に渡米。石原 敬と知り合う。帰国後、国際基督教大学 教養学部卒業。 アパレルブランドのPR・ライセンス部勤務。マーケティングコンサルティング会社を経て、2007年に渡英。University of East London 建築学科を主席で卒業したのち、ロンドンのHaworth Tomkins（建築事務所）勤務。在英中にstudio mufufuの立ち上げメンバーとして活動を開始、現在に至る。帰国後、セットデザイナー石原 敬のプロジェクトに参画。
Sanae has joined K’s team after her return to Japan from the UK, in order to contribute her architectural background to K’s scenic designs. Her practical approach to K’s designs often help realize and strengthen his creations. Sanae has obtained her architectural studies at University of East London at which she graduated top of her class and was nominated to a RIBA president’s medals student award.
She, then, worked at Haworth Tomkins (an award winning, London-based architectural firm) during which she also became a founding member of studio mufufu, a design firm now based in Japan.
